4 GENERATIONS

Matelski Lumber Company is a family owned and operated business in its fourth generation. We have been in the logging and sawmill business for over 70 years. Matelski Lumber Company has been certified with the Substainable Forestry Initiative since its inception through Michigan State University.

All waste produced by our logging and sawmill operations are used by co-energy plants, in the production of paper and composite decking, by landscapers and farmers for animal bedding.

We take pride in our efforts to preserve and maintain our forests and natural resources for our children and for future generations to enjoy. We try to educate landowners in ways to properly maintain their wood lots through selective cuttings that will keep producing healthy trees for years to come.
